Art Bali – Speculative Memories

There’s always a lot more than one might expect when you art in Bali!

Marking its 2nd edition, ART • BALI aims to present a continuum of historical memories related to time, space and society that are elaborated in various spectrums through the works of participating artists.

ART • BALI continues to develop a mode of space exploration as a meeting point between the discourse of global art, Indonesian culture and its audiences. Continuing the idea of “Beyond the Myths” (Beyond Mythology) as a form of dismantling the mythicized narratives, thoughts and practices of fine art in Indonesia, ART • BALI endeabor to elaborate this notion in reading situations that occur in today’s world, both nationally and globally, socially as well as politically, materially and virtually.
